AI Policy
Last updated 22 August 2026
Husky is a qualification and evidence product. If something can be computed, it is computed in code. Models are contained. This policy states what that means for Scian Solutions, LLC.
What is deterministic
Field usage, load verdicts (Covered, Not covered, Undetermined, Not qualified), evidence tiers, stage logic, and recommendation selection are computed in software. A model is not allowed to classify coverage or decide a verdict.
What models may do
Via Vercel AI Gateway and downstream model providers, Husky may:
- Summarize metrics that were already computed.
- Extract candidate fields from documents you or a carrier uploaded (policy jackets, endorsements, attestations).
- Explain a deterministic finding in plain English.
Extracted fields are evidence until code accepts them. Inferred output is labelled inferred. Low confidence is Unknown — never “no,” never “covered.”
What models must not do
- Invent fields, pipelines, carriers, or values.
- Infer the meaning of a field beyond metadata plus computed metrics.
- Propose changes that deterministic logic did not produce.
- Write to insurance systems, modify carrier or broker records, or trigger automation.
- Present inferred data as measured.
What may be sent to a model
Document text you uploaded and already-computed metrics may be sent to a model provider to perform the tasks above. Secrets, OAuth tokens, encryption keys, and raw session headers are not. Evidence packets used for any model-written summary are stored so the output can be audited.
Human responsibility
Husky is not an insurance broker and not a claims adjuster. A qualification is a statement about a load. A person at the brokerage remains responsible for tender decisions. See the Privacy Policy for collection and providers.
